Mindful Movement Yoga and Rock Climbing Retreat

Day 1 (Friday)

3:00pm-5:45pm  Check-In at North Cascades Basecamp
6:00pm Dinner and Introductions
7:45pm-9:00 pm Restorative Yoga

Day 2 (Saturday)

7:00am Rise for Morning Tea
7:15am  Mindful Meditation and Journaling
8:00am – 9:00am Breakfast
9:00am-9:15 pack lunches
9:30-11:00am Flow Yoga on the lawn
11-12am Pack up and depart for Fun Rock!
1:00pm – 4:00pm Intro to Rock Climbing -- Lunch at the crag
Includes 3-5 top rope climbs set-up.  Introduction to knots, cracks, face climbing, and fundamental safety disciplines.  Basic, intermediate and even advanced skills.  Participants will learn how to belay one-another using a double belay system, two-belayers for one climber.  This is a fail safe system, and backs up the lead belayer with a secondary belay which sucks into the primary creating an immediate blockage.  
4:00pm - 6:00pm Free time for walking down by the river, meditation, journaling, napping, hot tubbing, ect.
6:00pm – 7:00pm Dinner

 

 

Day 3 (Sunday)

7:00am Rise for Morning Tea
7:15am  Mindful Meditation and Journaling
8:00am to 9:00 Breakfast
9:00-9:15 pack lunches
10:00am – 12:30pm Short hike up Goat Rock Lookout for Yoga & Meditation over looking Methow Valley
12:30pm Lunch on the mountain
1:00pm - 3:00pm Optional Climbing or free time to hike, swim, nap or just explore
3:30pm  Depart
