What is Health Coaching?

As a Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, I am a practitioner and life-long student of a vibrant new field: Coaching Psychology. Trained by Vera Whole Health and Wellcoaches School of Coaching, my coaching education includes applications in Mindfulness, Behavior Change Theory, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing.  Coaching Psychology is a field focused on the scientific study of happiness and well-being. The coaching relationship facilitates a change process through visioning, goal setting, accountability, and inspiring autonomous motivation.

My primary focus is helping you establish healthy habits that promote mental and physical behavior change. As an ACSM Certified Clinical with over 15 years of field experience, my practice is informed with evidence-based guidelines in fitness, nutrition, weight management, health risk, stress management, and life satisfaction. I honor you as the expert in your life and give you the space to be creative and resourceful. This allows you to drive the process of self-discovery and build self-efficacy (the belief you can do this.) I’ll meet you exactly where you are, listening empathetically and treating you as a whole person. You’ll walk away with clear strategies and renewed focus.
